We like 'em as a pop-able appetizer or an elegant accompaniment to your turkey day feast. They’re easy, crowd-pleasing, and—trust us—your guests will rave.
🎉 Holiday Hack: Crispy Crab Balls (One of Our Regulars Swears by Them Monthly!)
Turn our take-home crab cakes into bite-sized holiday appetizers:
You’ll need:
• 1–2 Amélie Chesapeake Crab Cakes (pre-made, ready to take home)
• ½ cup panko or seasoned breadcrumbs
• A squeeze of lemon (optional)
• Oil for light pan-frying or air-frying (convection oven)
(***One cake makes about 6 balls - depending on how big you make them)
How to make them:
- Break apart the crab cakes into a bowl.
- Roll into small 1–1.5" balls.
- Coat lightly in panko breadcrumbs.
- Pan-fry in a little oil until golden brown or air-fry at 375°F for 6–8 minutes (watch so they don't burn!)
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon or serve with your favorite dipping sauce (you get our cajun remoulade with every order, too!)
